Matthew Heady

Matthew serves as a Senior Project Manager on the Youth Services team. He supports the PDXYouth@Work and SummerWorks initiatives as well as leading the OYEP (Sector-based internships), YEP (TANF-eligible youth work and learning), and Learn & Earn (stipend learning experiences) programming. Matthew started with Worksystems in 2022. Prior to Worksystems, he spent 15 years working at various Boys & Girls Clubs (Albany & Portland) leading teen and workforce initiatives. This included developing national programming centered on financial literacy, soft skill development and career learning pathways from kindergarten to graduation. In this role, Matthew spent five years as a national trainer to support ongoing learning for Clubs around the country. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in History, with a minor in Anthropology. A native of North Portland, Matthew spends his free time with his wife and two daughters enjoying Portland-area restaurants, coffee shops, and cheering on local sports teams.
