Worksystems is excited to fund pre-apprenticeship training for Washington County residents receiving SNAP benefits! In partnership with Washington County, this funding is being provided to prepare food stamp recipients for a career in the trades. Women and people of color are especially encouraged to apply for this opportunity.

If you or someone you know has ever considered a career in construction such as welding, electrical, carpentry, masonry, HVAC technician or machinist, this opportunity may be for you! Construction is growing in our region and the apprenticeship programs are looking for trainees. The trades offer great pay, benefits, and career ladders to advancement.

This 10-week training is being offered through Portland Community College and is available remotely. Training runs from January 4, 2021 through March 17, 2021. The training is offered at no cost to Washington County residents receiving SNAP benefits. The registration deadline is December 9, 2020.
