We are pleased to announce that Worksystems has been awarded an additional $100,000 in CARES Act funding from the Oregon Health Authority to provide cash assistance to residents of Multnomah and Washington counties who have been impacted by the COVID-19 economic crisis – bringing our total funding to $600,000. Previous funding also included support for rent assistance. These services will focus on addressing the disproportional economic and health impacts of the COVID-19 crisis on people of color and will be implemented through our community-based provider networks in both counties.

To date, these cards have supported 483 low-income residents with $1,000 prepaid VISA cards funded by a social determinants of health grant. Before the end of the year, over 50 more cards will be issued. Cards have been distributed to 31 of our partner agencies who have identified customers in need. Our partner agencies include:
