OECD Skills Outlook 2013 – Full Report
Skills Outlook, 2013, published by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), evaluates the skills of adults in 24 countries. The report provides insight into the availability of key skills in society and how they are used at work and at home. The study directly measures proficiency in several information processing skills including literacy, numeracy and problem solving in technology-rich environments and examines topics such as the impact of socio-economic characteristics on skill proficiency, how skills are used in the work place, and how skills are developed, maintained, and lost.
Of the 24 countries, the U.S. ranks near the middle in literacy and near the bottom in skills with numbers and technology.
