The Portland Metro Workforce Development Board (WDB) is a unique public/private partnership representing the City of Portland, Multnomah and Washington Counties.

About our Board

The WDB brings together local elected officials, private sector leaders, public agencies, education, labor, and community-based organizations to tackle regional workforce issues and opportunities. Board members are appointed by local elected officials with majority representation coming from the private sector.

The WDB’s primary goal is to build a workforce system that is flexible, responsive, customer-focused, and locally managed. The WDB is responsible for developing and evaluating the Portland Metro area’s workforce strategic plan and guiding investments to achieve our goals.
