A major transit investment is coming to 82nd Avenue corridor—and local residents have an opportunity to train for the jobs that will help build it.

TriMet is upgrading bus service along 82nd Avenue to bring high‑capacity FX Frequent Express service between Clackamas Town Center and Portland’s Cully neighborhood. The project will improve travel times and connections to jobs, schools, and shopping.

The project also requires a skilled workforce.

To support that need, Worksystems and TriMet have partnered to launch the 82nd Avenue Community Workforce Training Program, providing free training for people who want to pursue careers connected to the transit project and similar infrastructure investments.
