New Healthcare Quality Job Profiles

What makes a job a Quality Job? It’s more than wages. Quality Jobs combine competitive pay with benefits, predictable schedules, opportunities for advancement, safe working conditions, and hiring practices that make attractive careers more accessible.

To help people better understand these opportunities, Worksystems has released three new healthcare-focused Quality Job profiles: Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)Medical Assistants, and Sterile Processing Technicians.

A Quality Job can mean different things to different people. Each of these occupations differ in their day-to-day responsibilities. For example, being an EMT would be great for someone who is interested in a physically demanding role with non-traditional hours and extended time off; while a Sterile Processing Technician path is better suited for someone who is very detailed-oriented and prefers to work behind the scenes.

While the details are different, all of the occupations share the characteristics that define Quality Jobs: living wages, comprehensive benefits, clear career pathways, ongoing training opportunities, and the ability to enter and advance in the field without a four-year degree.
