Clean energy jobs are growing, workforce partnerships help meet demand

As the Portland region invests in energy-efficient building upgrades and home retrofits, employers need more workers with specialized skills. A new How Oregon Works interview explores how the HERO Academy is helping meet that need through a paid, 15-week training program that prepares pre-apprenticeship graduates for careers installing residential heat pump and water heating systems.

The conversation brings together Worksystems, Earth Advantage, Constructing Hope, and The Heat Pump Store to discuss how workforce programs, training providers, and employers can work together to create stronger talent pipelines and expand access to quality jobs.
