Success Story|

Bay area native Sierra Haager dropped out of high school to work in the world of indie music. In 2013 when the cost of living in San Francisco became more than she could handle, she and her husband moved to Portland.

There they started a record label working day and night in their living room. Although they were getting by, they were anxious to acquire the technology skills that they had come to associate with upward mobility. Both considered themselves to be total beginners.

They began learning new technology skills through Code Oregon in July, 2014 and quickly completed a variety of courses including front-end web development, Word Press, and web design.

They are now using these new skills to expand their business from just working with bands to providing services to other small businesses. They love helping their clients establish competitive online presences through branding, design, development and digital strategy. Business is booming and there is more work than they can do.
