Career opportunities in manufacturing and construction are abundant throughout the region — but are we growing the local talent needed to fill these high-skilled, family-wage jobs? This event will help educators gain tools and insights to help students find their career pathways!
WHO: Teachers, counselors and education leaders. Limited funds are available to partially subsidize the cost of substitute teachers.
WHAT: A hands-on immersion in manufacturing and construction career pathways at local industry sites.
WHEN: Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 8:00am to 3:30pm.
WHERE: Morning program including breakfast at Pacific Northwest Carpenters Institute (4222 NE 158th Ave) followed by site visits to two industry sites – one focused on construction and one on manufacturing. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all attendees.
