Reducing Barriers Through Secure Housing

Rent Assistance Hubs support participants in the Economic Opportunity Program (EOP) in Multnomah County. EOP Career Coaches refer eligible participants for assistance with housing search or short-term rent assistance payments. By providing short-term rental assistance alongside Career Coaching, the program helps participants secure or stabilize their housing while actively engaging in workforce development services.

Additional Support Services:

EOP participants are eligible for additional support services to help offset expenses related to a participant’s engagement in seeking and obtaining employment. Services include covering the fees for:

  • Child care
  • Clothing and personal care items
  • Obtaining employment documentation

  • Professional testing or certification
  • Tools or supplies for employment or training
  • Transportation support
  • Utilities
